President Li Xiaolin Meets with President V? Xuân H?ng of VUFO

On September 16th, President Li Xiaolin met with Mr. V? Xuan H?ng, President of Vietnam union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), who is accompanying Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on a visit to China.
President Li extended warm welcome to President V? for coming to the CPAFFC and expressed gratitude for costing the CPAFFC delegation earlier this year, as well as for cooperating with us in launching the Photo Exhibition on Ho Chi Minh and China-Vietnam Relations. Li said, VUFO is our important cooperative partner in Vietnam. We will take the 65th anniversary of the bilateral diplomatic ties as an opportunity to deepen the friendly cooperation with VUFO. She also briefed him on our work in receiving the international veterans for the Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
President V? Xuan H?ng thanked Li for the meeting amid the busy schedule and spoke highly of the coordination and cooperation with CPAFFC. He said that both Deputy PM Nguyen and China’s state leaders stressed the importance of people-to-people friendship and exchanges during their meeting. The VUFO will continue to work with CPAFFC to co-host a series of activities this year including the China-Vietnam People’s Forum and the China-Vietnam People’s Gala between the border area.

President Li Xiaolin Meets with Delegation of Renowned News Media from the Philippines

Madame Li Xiaolin, President of the CPAFFC, met with the delegation of the Filippino renowned news media led by Mr.Lorenzo Ku, President of the Huaren Society Association of the Philippines, Inc on 11, September. The delegation consists of 15 members. Mr.Li Xikui, Secretary General of the CPAFFC, attended the meeting. Madame Li Xiaolin and Mr.Li Xikui introduced the commemorative activities of the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the world anti-fascist war, and the situation of the politics, economy and environmental protection, etc. in China, to the guests. They said some overseas reports on China are not true; China will remain committed to peaceful development. Madame Li Xiaolin hoped that these friends from Philippine media could reflect the real situation in China after they came back to the Philippines this time.
The members of the delegation said that, through their Jiangsu and Shandong visit, they fully experienced the great changes in China since China’s reform and opening.? The Filipino people are friendly to China and hope to develop together with China in the future. At present, the relationship between the two countries is facing with some problems, yet they believe that these problmes could be solved through the wisdom of the two countries’ people. After all, the Philippines and China are close neighbors, and there is no reason for the two countries to be unfriendly to each other. They will show the real China to the Filipino after they come back.
The delegation was organized by Mr. Lorenzo Ku, an old friend of the CPAFFC and the president of Huaren Society Association of the Philippines, Inc. Mr. Lorenzo Ku has been working for the cause of friendship between the Philippines and China for several decades. He was conferred People’s Friendship Award by the CPAFFC in the past.
Mr. Hu Yang, Deputy Director-General of the China Service Center for Friendship and Cooperation with Foreign Countries (CSC), also attended the meeting.
President Li Xiaolin Attends the High-Level Meeting of The United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” China Partnership Network
President Li Xiaolin attended the high-level meeting of the United Nations “Every Woman Every Child” (EWEC) China Partnership Network (CPN) hosted by CPAFFC on September 11th.
EWECCPN is established according to the MOU signed between CPAFFC and UN in 2014, with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Health and Family Planning Commission as its policy and technology guidance units, and All China Women’s Federation as its special advisory unit. CPN’s first members include Peking University Health Science Center, Beingmate Group Co., Ltd., BYD Company Limited, Research Center for Public Health at Tsinghua University, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., Chia Tai Group Co.,Ltd., China Development Research Foundation, China Taiping Insurance Group Ltd., China Chamber of Commerce of Medicines and Health Products Importers and Exporters, China Red Ribbon Foundation etc. CPN aims at mobilizing the superior resources of all fields in China, carrying out its advantage as an international multilateral cooperation platform, to support the implementation of “Women’s Children’s and Adolescents’ Health Global Strategy” in China. CPN will also encourage more Chinese units to be involved in the international cooperation in the field of promoting women’s and children’s health, popularize our experience and progresses, to make new contribution to this worthy cause.
President Li Xiaolin mentioned in her speech that “Children and Adolescents are the future of mankind, and women are the guardians. The cause of caring women, children and adolescents is the greatest investment of our future, while still has a long way to go. Unremitting efforts and devotion of everyone in the world is the key to its realization. I hope that in the future we can make tangible contribution to improving the health of women, children and adolescents, and the social standard of disadvantaged groups through the international cooperative platform built by CPN.?

President Li Xiaolin Meets Mr. Franco Terenzi, President of San Marino-China Friendship Association

On September 4, President Li Xiaolin met Mr. Franco Terenzi, President of San Marino-China Friendship Association and Former Captain Regent of San Marino, who came to China to attend the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Mr. Franco Terenzi expressed that, it was an honor to attend the anniversary celebration. The success of the activity delivered important message to the world-- the Chinese people love peace and will safeguard the world peace as well as promote the common prosperity.
He said, the next year will be the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and San Marino. He would like to take this opportunity to further strengthen the friendly cooperation with China, leading the bilateral ties to a higher stage.
President Li Xiaolin presented a work of art that painted by herself to Mr. Franco Terenzi for thanking him for his contributions to China-San Marino friendship over the years.
President Li Xiaolin Meets with Ambassador Nguyen Van Tho of Vietnam

On August 27, President Li Xiaolin met with H. E. Nguyen Van Tho, who is leaving his post as Ambassador of Vietnam to China.
President Li expressed gratitude to Ambassador Nguyen for supporting the work of the CPAFFC over the years and looked forward to his continuous efforts in promoting the China-Vietnam people-to-people friendship in the future. President Li said, I visited Vietnam twice this year. the traditional friendship of “Comrades and Brothers”between the two countries left me deep impressions. We are willing to join hands with the Vietnam side and push forward the bilateral relations as well as the people-to-people friendship.
Ambassador Nguyen spoke highly on the work of the CPAFFC and China-Vietnam Friendship Association(CVFA), and thanked the two associations for the great support and help during his term. He hoped the CPAFFC and CVFA would continue to support and cooperate with the embassy to carry forward and develop the traditional friendship.

On August 26th, President Li Xiaolin met with Mr.Park Sam-koo, President of Republic of Korea-China Friendship Association(RCFA).
President Li thanked RCFA for providing the charter flight services and other related assistance in the China-R.O.Korea Youth Football Tournament between Friendship cities hosted by our association few days ago. She also briefed the CPAFFC’s work on inviting and receiving the WWⅡ veterans to participate in the activities in commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-fascist War.
President Park is on a visit to China with a high-level delegation composed of political and economic figures of R.O.Korea organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. He thanked President Li for sparing time out of busy schedule to meet him and hoped to enhance cooperation with CPAFFC in order to promote our bilateral relations.
The two sides also exchanged views on China-R.O.Korea relations, Korean Nuclear issue, Chinese economy and other issues of common interest.
President Li Xiaolin Meets Newly-appointed Ambassador of Italy
On 24th of August, President Li Xiaolin met with the newly-appointed Ambassador of Italy, His Excellency Ettore Francesco Sequi, and other members of the Embassy.
President Li Xiaolin expressed welcome to the Ambassador, hoped to continue promoting the friendship between two countries with the joint efforts of two parts. Li said Italy is famous for her richness of history and abundance of cultural resources, she hoped that the two parts could cooperate further in the fields of culture, city administration, humanity, etc.
Ambassador Sequi said that the CPAFFC had made great contribution to the cooperation in different fields between two countries, especially in the field of the exchanges between local governments. Sequi expresses that he was willing to hold more exchange activities, particularly to implement more pragmatic cooperation program based on the One Belt and One Road initiative.
This year marks the 45 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship of China and Italy, the two sides agreed to hold related celebration activities on the occasion.

On August 24, President Li Xiaolin met with Mr. Bruce C. Bommarito, Vice President of the International Marketing Team of Caesars Entertainment and discussed about hosting “For Justice and Peace-Photo Exhibition on China-US cooperation in World War II”in Las Vegas. Bommarito expressed strong interests in helping with the preparation work for the exhibition.

President Li Xiaolin extended a warm welcome to Governor Snyder’s trade mission to China.She briefed the preparatory work CPAFFC is doing on the Third U.S.-China Governors’ Forum and the invitation to WWⅡ veterans to attend the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascists War. She said, CPAFFC has successfully hold two U.S.-China Governors’ Forums to enhance sub-national cooperation between the two countries. She hoped Governor Snyder take part in the Third U.S.-China Governors’ Forum.She also remembered the friendship forged between people of the two countries during WWⅡ. She said, remembering that period of history can benefit the building of a new model of major country relations
Governor Snyder thanked CPAFFC for its strong support to Michigan trade mission to China, aimed at expanding practical cooperation between Michigan and China. He also expressed his wish to attend the Third U.S.-China Governors’ Forum, commenting that Michigan is the sister state of Sichuan Province of China and has established sound cooperation with other Chinese provinces and municipalities. He hoped to further strengthen cooperation with Chinese provinces and municipalities by taking part in this event.
