On May 5th, CRFA (China- Russia Friendship Association) and RCFA (Russia-China Friendship Association) jointly held the congress “Review the Past, Look into the Future and Cherish Peace” in Moscow. Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice Chairman of CPPCC and President of CRFA, Mr. Li Hui, Chinese Ambassador to Russia, Mr. Xie Yuan, Vice President of the CPAFFC, Mr. Igor Morgoulov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered speeches and attended the congress，together with around 300 guests from both countries.?

At the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organization (VUFO), Mr. Qi Jianguo, Vice President of China-Vietnam Friendship Association and former Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam, and Ms. Luan Yutao, Deputy Director General of Department of Asian and African Affairs of CPAFFC, visited Vietnam from 27 April to 2 May, 2015.? They attended activities marking the 40th anniversary of the liberation of South Vietnam and reunification of the entire nation. Altogether 100 international delegates from 42 countries were invited for this event.? During the visit, the Chinese delegation met with Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phu, Member of Vietnam Communist Party Central Committee and Deputy Prime Minister of Vietnam, as well as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city leaders. The Chinese delegates also attended the meeting with international friends, VUFO, and met with reporters from Central Television of Vietnam and other media organizations.

On 24th of April, Mr. Chen Yuan, Vice President of Chinese Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and President of China-Russia Friendship Association (CRFA) held a meeting with H.E. Mr. Denisov, the Russian Ambassador to China. Organized by the CPAFFC and the Association of Indonesia-China Economic, Social and Cultural Cooperation (AICESCC), the opening ceremony of the Photo Exhibition themed “Zhou Enlai and the Bandung Conference” was held in Jakarta of Indonesia on April 23rd, 2015. Vice President Lin Yi of CPAFFC，Zhou Enlai’s nieces Zhou Bingde and Zhou Bingjian, Chairman Sukamdani S. Gitosardjono of AICESCC, Ambassador Soegeng Rahardjo of Indonesia to China, together with around 200 guests from China and Indonesia attend the ceremony. The Exhibition was held along side with other activities in memory of the 65th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations and the 60th anniversary of the Bandung Conference (Asia-Africa Conference).? At the opening ceremony, VIPs from China and Indonesia cut the ribbon and toured the exhibition together. Ms. Lin Yi, Ms. Zhou Bingde, Mr. Sukamdani S. Gitosardjono and Mr. Huang Shuhai, who was the Indonesian language interpreter of Zhou Enlai, delivered speeches respectively.? Mr. Jin Hongyue, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Jakarta also attended the opening ceremony.

On 20th April, Mme. Hu Chunmei, the Associated Counsel of the Department of European and Asian Affairs met with Mr. Ezhov, Deputy Representative of Autonomous Republic of Crimea of Russian Federation, who came for the Business Forum between China and Russia. Mme. Hu briefed him about the recent work of China-Russia Friendship Association, including the arrangement of the commemorative activities related to the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Anti-Fascist War and Chinese People’s Resistance against Japanese Agression. Mr. Ezhov expressed his willingness to promote the mutual cooperation on the areas of commerce, economy, culture, tourism and friendship cities through the people-to-people resources of CPAFFC.

The Awarding Ceremony of “Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence Friendship Award” was held in Islamabad, Pakistan on April 20, 2015. Visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping and Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain attended the awarding ceremony. CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin presided over the ceremony. President Xi Jinping conferred the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence Friendship Award on the following groups and individuals for their long-term commitment to China-Pakistan friendship. They are All Pakistan China Friendship Association, the National University of Modern Languages, the National Management College and Earthquake Medical Relief Mission China-2008. Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Ali Ahmad Jan and Masood Khan were also granted the award. CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin met and held talks with the awarded groups and individuals before the ceremony. She congratulated them on winning the award, and expressed her appreciations of their long-term dedication to the development of mutual understanding and friendship between Chinese and Pakistani people. Li said, China and Pakistan are good neighbors, good friends, good partners and good bothers. Under the care and cultivation of successive leaders from both countries, China-Pakistan relationship has maintained healthy and steady development and has become a model for bilateral relations. The two sides always understand, trust and support each other on major issues concerning their core interests. She hoped they will continue their efforts and write a new chapter of China-Pakistan friendship. On 17th April, Vice President Song Jingwu met with Mr. Paul Kavanagh, Irish Ambassador to China at the Irish Embassy. The two sides had in-depth exchange of views on promoting cultural interaction, participating in Sino-European Agricultural Seminar, and further implementing the Memorandum of Understanding on a Framework for Jointly Enhancing People-to-People Exchange and Cooperation Between the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Ireland. Vice President Song briefed Ambassador on the developments in the? cooperation that will be carried out by the CPAFFC together with the Irish Embassy. He said that the CPAFFC will continue to work closely with the Embassy to jointly promote exchanges and cooperation in youth, culture, agriculture, and local governments between the two countries. Ambassador thanked Vice President Song and the CPAFFC for the efforts in promoting bilateral cooperation. He expressed his determination to join hands with the CPAFFC to make the cooperation a great success.

On April 16th, Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress cordially met with the delegation from Alsace Region of France and representatives of the French Foreign Ministry who were visiting China at the CPAFFC’s invitation. Ji said, with the joint efforts of the national leaders of the both countries, China and France have started a new era with the close and lasting comprehensive strategic partnership, which provides a good opportunity for the local governments of the both countries in exploring new fields of cooperation. Ji highly praised the 4th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments held in Alsace Region in last November, and thanked Alsace Region for the warm reception given to him. He admired Alsace Region’s positive attitude about the cooperation with the Chinese local government, and expressed that this visit would promote the exchange and cooperation in fields of economy, trade, science and culture among Alsace Region and the related Chinese Provinces. The delegation attended the summing-up meeting of 4th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments and preparatory meeting of 5th High-Level Forum on Cooperation of Chinese-French Local Governments at the CPAFFC. Before the meetings, CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin met with the delegation. She said, the cooperation of local governments between China and France is an important component of China-France comprehensive strategic partnership. She wished the both sides could collaborated to push the local governments between the two countries to a new climax.

On April 16, Vice President Song Jingwu met with the Minister-counselor of Embassy of Ukraine in China Dr Vasyl Gamianin. At the invitation of CPAFFC, a two-people-delegation headed by President Mondy Victor of Haiti-China Relation Development Association, executed a visit to Beijing from 10th April to 15th April, 2015. It is President Victor’s first visit to China in his term. During its stay in Beijing, the delegation held a working meeting with Mr. Ji Yongjun, Deputy Director General of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs. The Both sides discussed deeply about the economic and cultural exchanges between China and Haiti. Besides, the delegation met with some other related institutions and companies.??
