MADRID, Dec. 13 (Xinhua/Hu Jiaqi, Zhang Zhaoqing) – The 2024 Imperial Springs International Forum opened on December 12 in Madrid, Spain. Hu Chunhua, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), attended the opening ceremony, delivered a speech, and read a congratulatory letter from Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Hu Chunhua noted that President Xi's letter underscored the forum's vital role in fostering exchanges and mutual understanding between China and world over the past decade, while also charting a path for further collaboration to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
He emphasized that amid rapid and unprecedented global changes, China remains a steadfast advocate for peace, stability, and progress, committed to advancing high-standard opening up. He welcomed more international visionaries to actively engage with the forum, deepen friendship, boost cooperation, and contribute insights and strength to building a community with a shared future for mankind.
During his stay in Spain, Hu Chunhua also attended a group meeting with King Felipe VI of Spain and held a meeting with Javier Maroto, First Vice President of the Senate of Spain, and others.
