?Xi Jinping Sends Congratulatory Message to New President of Viet Nam L??ng C??ng

On October 22, 2024, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to L??ng C??ng?on his assuming office as President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Xi Jinping noted that in recent years, he has maintained close strategic communication with Vietnamese leading comrades and jointly led China-Viet Nam relations into a new era of building a community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. Noting that General Secretary and then State President To Lam visited China in August this year, Xi said that he and To Lam had in-depth communication and they reached important common understandings on deepening the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future. Mentioning L??ng C??ng's recent visit to China, Xi said that he and L??ng C??ng?had an exchange on advancing China-Viet Nam comprehensive strategic cooperation and agreed to steer China-Viet Nam relations from a strategic perspective and give full play to the guiding role of leaders, so as to ensure that bilateral relations move forward on the right track. Xi said the two sides should jointly deliver on the high-level common understandings reached between the two parties and two countries and push for more practical results in the China-Viet Nam comprehensive strategic cooperation to boost the modernization processes of the two countries. China will firmly support Viet Nam in pursuing a socialist path suited to its national conditions and preparing for the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam. Xi said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Viet Nam relations and is ready to work with President L??ng C??ng?to guide the building of a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future for in-depth and substantive progress and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
