Seventy years ago, in May 1954, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) was established to introduce New China to the international community, fostering mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people around the world.
Over the past 70 years, the CPAFFC has actively played its role as the main channel of people-to-people diplomacy, carrying out many successful initiatives. In the pursuit of friendship and the great cause of people-to-people exchanges, nearly 300 foreign guests from around 100 countries and regions attended the China International Friendship Conference and the 70th Anniversary Celebration of CPAFFC.
As the CPAFFC embarks on a new journey, it will continue to play a unique role in developing friendships between the Chinese people and the people of other nations, as well as in promoting pragmatic international cooperation. Guided by the principles of “Friendship, Cooperation, Peace, and Development”, the CPAFFC will strengthen practical cooperation with people around the world, injecting positive energy into global peace and development.
