The Global Summit of SME Leaders, co-hosted by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Global Alliance of SMEs (GASME), and organized by Kingold Group, was held in Guangzhou Imperial Springs International Convention Center on Nov. 17, 2013. Mr. Zhu Xiaodan, Governor of Guangdong Province, Madam. Li Xiaolin, President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries made welcoming speech at the opening ceremony. Former President of the United States Bill Clinton, Vice President of the French Senate, Former Prime Minister of France Jean Pierre Raffarin, Senior Vice Chairman of GASME, Former Vice President of Peru Raul Diez Canseco Terry and Global Chairman of GASME Carlos Magarinos attended the summit and delivered remarks.
The summit aims to build an international platform for state leaders, high-level officials of international organizations, SME leaders and experts to exchange views, and address the challenges and opportunities that SMEs face in global economic development. About 200 Chinese and foreign leaders in the fields of politics and business, as well as renowned entrepreneurs attended the summit.
