On November 5, President Li Xiaolin of the CPAFFC met with DeWayne Hopkins, the mayor of Muscatine city, Iowa state. The two sides exchanged ideas on the relevant arrangements of holding commemorative activities for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of friendship-province/state relations between Iowa state and Hebei province, and the issues on establishing friendship cities between Muscatine and Zhengding, Hebei Province. DeWayne Hopkins would also lead a delegation to visit Hebei, Zhejiang and Shanghai to discuss with the Chinese counterparts about strengthening exchanges and cooperation in fields of economy, trade and education.
