On the afternoon of April 16th , State Councilor Yang Jiechi met with Hon. Mr. Minnikhanov, President of The Republic of Tatarstan of Russia, who was visiting China at CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin’s invitation.
State Councilor Yang expressed that the strategic and collaborative partnership between China and Russia was at an important developing period. China would like to work with Russia, to further strengthen the friendly contact and pragmatic local cooperation of the Chinese and Russian regions including The Republic of Tatarstan.
President Minnikhanov thanked for the hospitable reception of the Chinese side. His visit has achieved important result which will broaden Tatarstan’s local exchange with China, and strengthen the cooperation in investment, energy, machinery and culture.
CPAFFC President Li Xiaolin, Deputy Foreign Minister Li Baodong of China and CPAFFC Vice-President Li Jiaping were present at the meeting.
