On June 9, 2025, Vice President Shen Xin of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) met with the delegation from the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg at the CPAFFC.
On behalf of CPAFFC President Yang Wanming, Vice President Shen extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefed them on China's latest achievements in economic and social development. He noted that, Luxembourg, as a founding member of the European Union, is a valued friend and partner of China. The CPAFFC attaches great importance to people-to-people exchanges and subnational cooperation with Luxembourg, and stands ready to work closely with the Luxembourg side to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, to build more bridges for people-to-people exchanges, practical cooperation, cultural exchanges, and youth friendship, thus advancing the China-Luxembourg and China-EU relations to a new level and contributing more to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Gilles Baum, head of the delegation and Chairman of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group in the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg, affirmed Luxembourg's continued commitment to political mutual trust and win-win cooperation with China. Luxembourg is willingness to work with China to promote practical cooperation in areas such as climate change and green development, in order to deliver tangible benefits to the two peoples.
Roland Reiland, Ambassador of Luxembourg to China, and Hao Zhongwei, Director-General of the Department of European and Asian Affairs of the CPAFFC, were present at the meeting.
